Bringing experience and heart to help

Greg and Sarah (Sally) have been serving Christ among the Muslims since 1963. Now based once again in the U.K., they continue to oversee pioneer church planters among Muslims in Malaysia, Sumatra, the Arab countries, and among Pakistanis in England.

Greg’s primary gift is as a ‘team forming coach’. He continues to birth and deploy pioneer teams from many nations whose goal is to establish house churches led by their own Muslim-background elders.  Their focus for 2007 is Libya, Turkmenistan, Brunei, Somalia, and getting Korean Presbyterian missionaries into Iran!

The Livingstones continue to oversee two teams in Malaysia, a project touching the entire Arab world (based in Lebanon) plus an all-Indian agency to Muslims in North India.

In the equipping areas, Greg specializes in the history of ministry to Muslims.  He is convinced that making disciples effectively and gathering them into need-meeting fellowships requires a thorough knowledge of the past.  He is writing or editing:

• a textbook- A History of Christian Mission Among Muslims Since the Birth of Islam
• A History of Christian-Muslim Encounter in Malaysia
• A chapter of past efforts in Fruitful Practices
• A chapter on Muslim ministry in a new book from the Missions Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance

Agency Information

The Frontiers mission statement: to glorify God by planting churches with pioneer teams among all Muslim peoples by working in coordination with others who share the same vision.    70% of the missionaries belonging to World Outreach (the Evangelical Presbyterian Church or EPC) are also focused on the Muslim world.
